This week, a lot of early reviews have dropped for the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie. The word on the street is that this film is even more meta than past Deadpool entries and that it's very obviously about trying to save the MCU as a cinematic universe. Some critics are arguing that this should be the last movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that's not because it's bad, but because it wraps it up in a way that Endgame never could. I don't exactly know what that means yet, but I'm hoping that if this is the last MCU movie (and it obviously won't be), it goes out with a bang.
Deadpool feels like an aged character. Humor has changed since 2016 and 2018, so I'm intrigued to see if this self-aware direct-to-camera stuff will still feel fresh six years later. If you can't wait to see this movie, these Marvel memes are yours for the taking.
