Hello everyone, and welcome to the week! Itās time once again for our look back at the noteworthy updates of the last seven days. The month marches on, and so do the updates. By now I think everyoneās awake and updating again, which makes my job a little bit easier. Of course, you can keep an eye out for updates yourself by participating in the TouchArcade forums. This weekly summary is just here to fill you in on the things you might have missed. Letās go for it!
MARVEL Future Fight, Free Going strong into 2024, Marvel Future Fightās latest update has the most new characters weāve seen added to the game in a while. The Goblin Queen update adds a whopping four new playable characters to the roster. Madelyne Pryor, Havok, Exodus, and Hope Summers are now available. Lots of Cyclops-adjacent people there. On top of that, Rachel Summers gets a new uniform. Cyclops gets his Tier-4, and Havok and Madelyne Pryor waste no time getting right to Tier-3. Odinās Blessing now has five new items, and of course all of this is in service to the new Epic Quest titled Goblin Queen. Iāll give this the coveted UMMSotW award this week just for fun.
Peglin, Free Peglin got another update this week, and it once again adds a few things and adjusts some existing stuff. Taking center stage are nine fresh new relics to mess around with. Thereās also a new scenario to play, and thatās the kind of thing thatās always nice to see in an update. The existing scenarios have some modified options, some buffs have been applied to Refreshircle and Critsoballos, and a few other balance tweaks have been made. Finally, bug fixes. We love them. They are here. Rejoice.
Toon Blast, Free And here is the obligatory free-to-play matching puzzle game update for the week. Toon Blast, again. Reliable stuff, isnāt it? Fifty new levels. The title of the new episode is Cake My Day, and I actually kind of like that. Well done, Toon Blast developers. Thereās a sentence I am unlikely to ever type again. Anyway, enjoy matching the blocks to get some virtual cake of some kind. Iām hardly the king of spending my free time wisely, so I canāt criticize.
Honkai Impact 3rd, Free It has been noticed that I donāt always extensively play all of the games which I include in these update round-ups. It is true. I have not played a great deal of this one, for example. Iām really just here to tell you there is a new S-rank Bio-type Battlesuit, a new main story chapter to play, a new event called Wild Phoenix Chase, and some new equipment. Will I ever see any of it with my own eyes? Itās unlikely, but possible. Stranger things have certainly happened.
Angry Birds Reloaded, This is another game that updates rather regularly, making it a useful game to call on when needed. This update kicks off the Frost Festival, a six-week event full of rewards and weekly quests. There are thirty brand new levels to play, and some new Bird skins including brand-new Space versions of Matilda, Hal, and Stella. Feels like Stella should have had one before; itās right in the name and everything. Well, past mistakes have now been corrected. Can you three-star all of the challenge levels to get the best stuff? Maybe! Maybe you can!
Gibbon: Beyond the Trees, This game felt pretty complete already, so whatās up with this update? A lot of little things that make the game feel even more polished. Humans will now react to passing gibbons, there are some little scenes you can unlock by rescuing the same type of animal ten times in Liberation mode, some animations have been improved, and some new effects have been added. Sure, in terms of gameplay differences there arenāt a lot of things to see here, but I appreciate all the tweaks to the gameās presentation. A cool game, and Iāll always look for reasons to fire it up again.
Cut the Rope 3, Well, weāve looked in on the Angry Birds, we might as well see what Om Nom is up to while weāre in the App Store Old Folksā Home. How does the idea of twenty-one new levels grab you? How about seven new Nommies? Diving gear for Om Nom and Nibble Nom? How about some boulders that are going to get in the way of your puzzle-solving? Hey, whatever blows your hair back. Beyond the new content, some improvements to the UI have been made so that you can get into the gameplay a bit quicker. Always appreciated!
Gear.Club Stradale, Okay, everyone wants to know about new cars first when it comes to racing game updates. There is one here, and you can find it in the Super Carta Stradale this month. Tekamura Performance has officially joined the game, with the 911 GT2 RS Tekamura Performance ready to speed out with its all-new signature livery. Pretty slick ride, but can you handle its power? Fire up the game, get your hands on the new car, and see what you can do with it.
Real Racing 3, Free Perhaps you want a racing game update but donāt have Apple Arcade. Iām here to help! Real Racing 3! It has an update, you see. Lots of new events, and plenty of cars to win in them. The McLaren Artura, the Brabham BT62, the Apollo Intensa Emozione, the 1987 Porsche 962C, and more are available via a variety of racing events. The real highlight is the newly added Pagani Utopia, and youāll have to see if you can earn it for your virtual garage. Fairly typical as Real Racing 3 updates go, but that isnāt a bad thing.
Hearthstone, Free And weāll wrap it up by checking in on the latest update for Hearthstone. Far from the world-beater it used to be, but it still seems to be going strong. This version offers up the new Showdown in the Badlands Mini-Set, with plenty of new cards, characters, and more. Thereās also a special Lunar New Year event, complete with some season-appropriate cosmetics. Sure, thatāll do. Iām off to get my dinner now before it gets cold!
That about wraps it up for last weekās significant updates. Iām sure Iāve missed some, though, so please feel free to comment below and let everyone know if you think something should be mentioned. As usual, major updates will likely get their own news stories throughout this week, and Iāll be back next Monday to summarize and fill in the blanks. Have a great week!
