Rockstar Games finally brought the remake/remaster of its classic trilogy to iOS and Android through Netflix Games and as standalone releases for $19.99 each. We featured Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy ā The Definitive Edition as our game(s) of the week when they arrived and Iāve reviewed Vice City from this trilogy on iOS which you can read here. Netflix has publicly revealed (Via The GameDiscoverCo newsletter) in its fourth quarterly earnings letter to shareholders that this release was Netflixās most successful launch till date for installs and engagement in gaming. The more important bit is that some people are signing up just to play these games on Netflix. As I said in my review, I thought Netflix finally had its killer app for the gaming side on mobile, and that seems to be true. Iām curious to see how these games do on mobile long term. I still have reviews planned for San Andreas and III. If youād like to play Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy ā The Definitive Edition and have an active Netflix subscription, you can grab Vice City here, GTA III here, and San Andreas here. If you want to buy them standalone for $19.99 each, check out Vice City here, GTA III here, and San Andreas here. Have you tried Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy ā The Definitive Edition through the Netflix, standalone mobile, or PC and console releases so far?
