I know how easy it is to be tempted to break any rules you find unfair, but if you're going to break the rules, you have to develop a sense of which ones are worth breaking. If you know your circumstances will get exponentially worse if you get caught, that is certainly not a rule you want to be messing with, especially if you have a cognisant eyewitness.
