I would love an alien as a sidekick. Kind of like Roger in American Dad, except he's less of a sidekick and more of an arch-villain, gay best friend, loving aunt, thorn in your side, but also your closest brother. That relationship would be nice to have in my life too.
But If I had an alien sidekick, I could ask them all about their home planet, and I could teach them about Earth. They would teach me how to say hello in their native alien language and I would take them to the movies to show them all of our finest offerings. I wonder if it would be weird for them to see themselves represented in film and TV. We would probably get it all wrong, and maybe they'd be offended by our depictions of them as weird little green guys with huge eyes. Or maybe it would be 100% accurate and they'd be like, "How did you know?" Then, we could look at these memes together. One day…
